A 23-year-old wicket-keeper batter, Salil Arora comes to the TATA IPL having already established himself in Punjab’s star-studded T20 side. He was Punjab’s highest run-scorer in the 2025/26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, smashing 358 runs at a strike rate of 198.88. The highlight of his season was an unbeaten 125 off 45 deliveries against the eventual winners Jharkhand, which had nine fours and 11 sixes (102 runs in boundaries). Only Ishan Kishan struck more sixes than him that season. A middle-order batter, Sunrisers Hyderabad paid INR 1.5 Crore to sign him in the 2026 TATA IPL Auction with the vision of adding another six-hitter to their roster.
